Environmental

We're committed to protecting the environment.

Deeply rooted in Carefree Kitchens' organization are values to conduct our business with respect for the environment, and a commitment to integrate sustainable practices into our business operations on a day to day basis. To that end, there are several initiatives currently underway at Carefree Kitchens.

First and foremost, Carefree Kitchens backs CARB standards (California Air Resource Board). Within many wood products there can be found Formaldehyde, a substance that includes chemical elements such as carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. More familiar sources of manmade formaldehyde include things like kerosene space heaters, automobile exhaust and tobacco smoke. Lesser known is the fact that many homes and businesses themselves are sources of manmade formaldehyde. The source of this type of formaldehyde comes from the building materials themselves, including fiberboard (which is often used in cabinets) and hardwood plywood (which is often used in furniture).

CARB sets standards that limit these emissions, reduce greenhouse gases, and limit exposure of man made formaldehyde to the public. We at Carefree Kitchens back these standards and apply it across the products we sell. More information can be found on this issue by clicking the link below. http://www.arb.ca.gov/homepage.htm

In addition, the companies we do business with and the products they sell are all part of various organizations and green initiatives that are committed to creating a safer and healthier environment for everyone. Listed below are companies Carefree Kitchens partners with in our pledge to our environment and future generations.
